If you struggle with anxiety about hell, intrusive thoughts and images of hell, obsessive doubts, nightmares, or religious scrupulosity, this free masterclass is for you.
Stop letting the “What if I’m wrong?” fear steal your peace.
Whether you’ve already left your religion or are currently questioning it, learn how to dismantle the beliefs and thought patterns that keep hell feeling like a real threat—and begin reclaiming your peace of mind.

When the fear of hell takes hold, it can be incredibly difficult to find peace.
You may find yourself obsessively questioning what you believe, replaying the same arguments in your mind, searching for reassurance, or desperately trying to reach a level of certainty that finally makes you feel safe.
The fear can also show up as intrusive thoughts or terrifying images of hell, nightmares, religious scrupulosity, or intense anxiety triggered by religious messages, memories, or ideas.
And underneath it all is often the same terrifying possibility:
What if hell is real? What if I’m wrong?
When the consequences you’ve been taught to fear are eternal, even the smallest uncertainty can feel impossible to ignore.
Break the “What if I’m wrong?” cycle
Learn powerful strategies for getting unstuck from obsessive doubt, reassurance-seeking, and the relentless search for absolute certainty.
Stop letting fear determine what you believe
Learn to recognize emotional reasoning and separate the terrifying feeling that hell could be real from the evidence for whether the threat is actually credible.
Challenge hell fear at its roots
Instead of repeatedly trying to reassure yourself that you’re safe, learn how to identify and dismantle the underlying beliefs and assumptions that give hell its power.
Turn “What if?” on its head
Stop carrying the impossible burden of proving that hell isn’t real. Learn how to shift the burden of proof back onto the religious claims themselves—and ask whether there is actually good reason to believe the threat.
Work with intrusive thoughts, triggers, and fear responses
Learn practical ways to work with frightening thoughts, images, nightmares, and activated fear without automatically treating them as signs that you’re in danger.
Address the fear in both mind and body
Learn why changing your thinking may be only part of recovery—and how cognitive work can be combined with mindfulness, somatic approaches, and other trauma-informed strategies to address conditioned fear.
Heal the underlying religious trauma
Discover how therapies such as IFS, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing can help you work more deeply with the fear, shame, and trauma created by religious indoctrination.
Build a path toward lasting freedom
Bring these strategies together into a more complete approach to recovery—one that helps you question inherited fears, rebuild trust in your own mind, and reclaim greater peace and freedom in your life.

I'm the founder of Life After Dogma, a religious trauma specialist, coach, and psychotherapist.
Before becoming a therapist, I was a Christian minister, and my academic background includes graduate study in theology and religion at Princeton Theological Seminary and the University of Oxford. I left my religion to heal from religious fear, shame, and sexual repression.
I also know the fear of hell personally. I grew up terrified that I could die and wake up in hell, and eventually had to disentangle myself from the beliefs and fears I had inherited.
Today, I help people work through religious fear, shame, trauma, and the difficult process of figuring out what they actually believe and want for their lives.
This masterclass draws on lived experience, serious engagement with religious belief, and my clinical work with religious trauma.
